Mechanical Frames Have The Ability To Break Down Which Decreases Their Volume. Break-down frames Are Statically Determinant Which Means You Add Little or No Increase in Strength from the Joint Fixivity. Mechanical Frames Are Heavier By the Weight of the Joints; Usually 10% for the Rowframe Variety.
Welded Frames Are Statically In-determinant which means the Frame Increases in Strength from the Joints. Generally, Welded Frames Occupy More Space. Welded Frames have Annealed Joints Unless the Fabricator Heat Treats the Frame. Small frame Segments Are Inexpensive to Heat Treat While Large Frames May not be feasible.

Welded Raft Frames: Single and Double Rail Raft Frames are available as all welded or all welded with some mechanical connections.
The prices for these frames are compatible with the all mechanical fitting frames. However, they are generally not available for parcel shipping.
