Your Politicians are Weenies
You voted for them and you knew they were scumbags. What were you thinking? In a true democracy, there are no politicians. This is a holdover from the mid 1700s when word traveled by horseback. Politicians can’t control their kids so they want exercise their influence on you.Anyway, this story isn’t about politics; It’s about Bill the teacher.
Bill lives in the same cow town as I. Bill graduated from college, a little left leaning, scientifically literate, and highly motivated school teacher who is losing his passion for the trade. He is giving up because the local political electorate is micro managing the classroom. When he leaves, who will teach our children about ideas? Why do we allow politicians without teaching credentials to dictate the agenda?
Your children are not monkeys and this isn’t a religious game. Your children are our economic future and not teaching them everything is a lost opportunity. Incorporate your morals but do so at home. The concepts of Newton, Galileo, Archimedes, Euclid … await.A passionate teacher is an huge asset.Let-em have some freedom.
Ok Dear Reader, …. If you have made it down this far, you must be a glutton for punishment.
Premium Fabrics:
The difference between premium fabrics and the PVC tarpaulin fabric is endurance cycles as well as strain energy under the curve. The amount of energy accepted to failure by the premium fabrics is on an order of 5 magnitudes that of PVC fabric. One asks the question: Then why do the Chinese make boats from PVC fabric? The answer is that most consumers buy on a first cost analysis. They don’t have the skills or the forethought to peer down the road 20 to 30 years. A high quality fabric will hold air and perform in service for 20 to 30 years. Your choice
Your Politician is a dedicated individual whose purpose is to exercise your wishes buffered with the wishes of millions of other constituents into one cohesive voice that is proportional to the democratic whole.
The problem is the buffering process. For example: You tell your politician that you need a road paved. He hears that there is a great need for a tunnel which by coincidence has a road buried somewhere in it. The lobbyists assure said politician is correctly interpreting the information because no one could ever only need just a road. The publicist assures said politician will surely get re-elected because the outcome is exactly what the constituents needed. The road is an important road with no simple fix. The consultants assure the politician that they have a solution in concept and that modest fees would render the concept into working drawings. The venture capitalists assure the politician that agreements can be exercised to pay for the tunnel with minimal initial costs leveraged against land and material title.
Unfortunately, this is how the system operates. The gentleman needing the road paved was for the most part silenced in a sea of patronage. This concept is not unique to the USA. It rears its face in the Arab Spring, Kiev, New Jersey, Portland, Seattle and ….wherever. Your politician has to make enough money in his/her four year limited term to pay for their retirement obligations. Please dear taxpayer, deny them that opportunity.
Some folks have asked,” How do we make our raft frames so inexpensively?” The answer is: “We use slaves”.And to be politically correct, we use monkey slaves since they don’t seem to have any organized group objecting to their exploitation.Throw them a banana once in awhile and they produce whatever you want out of them.
Monkey slaves, properly engaged, gain a feeling of self worth when confronted with a new RowFrame chassis. They set about diligently cutting all the parts and machining all the fittings.Whalla, a few hours later, they are test driving the RowFrame on a local river. An engaged monkey is a happy productive monkey filled with pride and a zest for monkeydom.
Unproductive monkeys, left to their own devices sit around throwing feces at each other, collecting welfare, smoking pot, as well as a host of other deleterious activities. You dear reader, having invested the time in reading this rag (and wasting time I might infer), could consider this a metaphor for life, or perhaps not.
J.D. Bubba & Associates has ranked RowFrame #1 in North America for Raft and CataRaft products.
