Your Politicians are Weenies
You voted for them and you knew they were scumbags. What were you thinking? In a true democracy, there are no politicians. This is a holdover from the mid 1700s when word traveled by horseback. Politicians can’t control their kids so they want exercise their influence on you.Anyway, this story isn’t about politics; It’s about Bill the teacher.
Bill lives in the same cow town as I. Bill graduated from college, a little left leaning, scientifically literate, and highly motivated school teacher who is losing his passion for the trade. He is giving up because the local political electorate is micro managing the classroom. When he leaves, who will teach our children about ideas? Why do we allow politicians without teaching credentials to dictate the agenda?
Your children are not monkeys and this isn’t a religious game. Your children are our economic future and not teaching them everything is a lost opportunity. Incorporate your morals but do so at home. The concepts of Newton, Galileo, Archimedes, Euclid … await.A passionate teacher is an huge asset.Let-em have some freedom.
Economic Advice from JD Bubba & Associates
We live in a world for which true real property is being distributed to only a select few.To satisfy bazillions of consumers, our economic system has developed the psyche of value attributable to items promoted by the commercial establishment.Driving the demand is an endless stream of advertising dribble seeking to create the illusion of value as well as the illusion of chic.To cinch the noose, the commercial establishment will offer a 2 year plan with costly out options knowing full well that most of the constituents have yet mastered the ability to read.
You dear readers, having found this obscure website, are probably not in the aforementioned group. You, according to the web demographics are most likely to be well educated, have an income above 50k and generally considered to be the environmentally elite.I ask you this question, “Are you consuming the endless dribble that Wall Street promotes or are you acquiring real property”. Is your Ipadi worth the 1/6 of an acre of land that could be purchased elsewhere?Think about it.
I’d like to tell you that a raft or cataraft is real property. We know better. However, the raft or cataraft is a durable good.It can position the occupant in a place of beauty for extended periods at minimal cost.It can hover the occupant above a coral reef or atop a fishing hole.It can offer the solitude that only wilderness trips provide. It’s your buck; spend it wisely.
Ok Dear Reader, …. If you have made it down this far, you must be a glutton for punishment.
Re: My Theory for the Dumbing Down of America.
It starts with F-Brice Toys. You know what I’m talking about, the bright colored plastic stuff injection molded plastic in parts just big enough so the kids won’t swallow. There is absolutely nothing intellectual to be gained from this crap. Parents are just too friggin lazy to cut real wood blocks from dimension lumber. Parents respond that,” I just don’t have the time to…” My answer to that is, “then your children will have the lowest common denominator IQ that is available to all the morons of the world. Your children are playing with landfill material. They grow up to buy Nissans, PlayStations and dine from the Smorgasbord of consumer trash creating a class of economic slaves. Did I insult you? Good. Did I make you think? Better
Stop the cycle now. Cut your children or grand-children real wood blocks. Inscribe in the face of the blocks the size, its moment of inertia, radius of gyration, shear modulus, wood species and other characteristics of the block. Do it know while we still have wood.
If you disagree with my philosophy, insert a 20 buck bill into an envelope and mail it to Waste Management. This will allow them to develop the technology to recycle the F-Brice toys back into grocery bags.
Re: How Our Government Puts the Screws to You
They tell us low interest will boost the economy. Bull. Low interest sends a message that saving is for fools. Low interest allows the business class to bypass the free market and get capital at consumer subsidized rates. You dear taxpayer are paying the bill as well as accepting the risk. Who dreamed up this crap? Lawyers. Yes the same folks that bring you the political class are back-dooring you on this. You invest 30 years of wages at an interest rate of 4.5% while the Goldman gets a million times that amount for 1% absent the risk. The builder and his political lobby conspire to control the available space to construct such a dwelling. They guise it and call it land-use planning. The appropriate term is restricting access to affordable dwellings. Politicians want development to line their pockets. Agreeably, there is an exception or two. Kiss your retirement goodbye until the cost of money rises to its true value.
The difference between premium fabrics and the PVC tarpaulin fabric is endurance cycles as well as strain energy under the curve. The amount of energy accepted to failure by the premium fabrics is on an order of 5 magnitudes that of PVC fabric. One asks the question: Then why do the Chinese make boats from PVC fabric? The answer is that most consumers buy on a first cost analysis. They don’t have the skills or the forethought to peer down the road 20 to 30 years. A high quality fabric will hold air and perform in service for 20 to 30 years. Your choice.
Your Politician is a dedicated individual whose purpose is to exercise your wishes buffered with the wishes of millions of other constituents into one cohesive voice that is proportional to the democratic whole.
The problem is the buffering process. For example: You tell your politician that you need a road paved. He hears that there is a great need for a tunnel which by coincidence has a road buried somewhere in it. The lobbyists assure said politician is correctly interpreting the information because no one could ever only need just a road. The publicist assures said politician will surely get re-elected because the outcome is exactly what the constituents needed. The road is an important road with no simple fix. The consultants assure the politician that they have a solution in concept and that modest fees would render the concept into working drawings. The venture capitalists assure the politician that agreements can be exercised to pay for the tunnel with minimal initial costs leveraged against land and material title.
Unfortunately, this is how the system operates. The gentleman needing the road paved was for the most part silenced in a sea of patronage. This concept is not unique to the USA. It rears its face in the Arab Spring, Kiev, New Jersey, Portland, Seattle and ….wherever. Your politician has to make enough money in his/her four year limited term to pay for their retirement obligations. Please dear taxpayer, deny them that opportunity.
Some folks have asked,” How do we make our raft frames so inexpensively?” The answer is: “We use slaves”.And to be politically correct, we use monkey slaves since they don’t seem to have any organized group objecting to their exploitation.Throw them a banana once in awhile and they produce whatever you want out of them.
Monkey slaves, properly engaged, gain a feeling of self worth when confronted with a new RowFrame chassis. They set about diligently cutting all the parts and machining all the fittings.Whalla, a few hours later, they are test driving the RowFrame on a local river. An engaged monkey is a happy productive monkey filled with pride and a zest for monkeydom.
Unproductive monkeys, left to their own devices sit around throwing feces at each other, collecting welfare, smoking pot, as well as a host of other deleterious activities. You dear reader, having invested the time in reading this rag (and wasting time I might infer), could consider this a metaphor for life, or perhaps not.
J.D. Bubba & Associates has ranked RowFrame #1 in North America for Raft and CataRaft products.
